“The Story of the 1997 Football Pirates” will be the focus of the first installment of the documentary series entitled, “This Is: Staten Island.” Gotham Trinity is raising $100,000 and will begin production this fall with a release in the Fall of 2020.
The series will place a spotlight on individuals, places and events that show the rich history and unique environment of Staten Island. The goal is to showcase the Island by highlighting what best depicts an aspect of the borough that might not be as well known.
The journey of exploring said history and present state of the forgotten borough will begin with Tottenville High School. With a passion for sports, Gotham Trinity aims to tell the story through the eyes of the underclassmen with a little help from the residents of staten island
